I have recently been so inspired by Margaret Atwood. I recently saw an interview with here, I think on 60 minutes or Sunday Morning. She appears to be an amazing woman and at 86 acts like age is not even a consideration in her life. Had to ask Google what it takes to be a writer of such talent:
To be a writer like Margaret Atwood, it takes a blend of fearless imagination, sharp intellect, and unwavering discipline. Atwood’s work is celebrated for its poetic precision, profound insights, and ability to hold a mirror up to society’s deepest truths.
Becoming such a writer means nurturing curiosity about the world, questioning norms, and weaving stories that resonate on both personal and universal levels. It also requires resilience—embracing rejection, revising tirelessly, and staying true to your unique voice even when it challenges conventions.
Above all, it’s about observing life with empathy and transforming those observations into words that linger long after the last page is turned.
I want a bit of that for sure!
